Dear Colleague:

The VI Workshop on Novel Methods for Electronic Structure Calculation  
will be held at the Departamento de Electrotecnia of the Facultad de  
Ingeniería of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata from November 12nd  
to 14th of 2015.

The purpose of the meeting is to do an exhaustive description of first  
principles methods, the advantages of the study of materials using  
them and the importance of the ab initio methods to predict  
structural, electric, magnetic, electronic and other properties of  
solids. It is also sought to locate the state of the art of the modern  
techniques on first principles calculation, focusing on the study of  
materials. The seminar will be carried out with the contribution of  
foreign and local lecturers. Oral expositions of advanced students and  
recent PhD's are also encouraged.

In order to be able to be in contact with the invited speakers to as  
well as all interested people on the workshop we are asking you to

It is important to remind people interested in participating should  
register in the meeting via the website:

The organization is seeking financial support for participants. This  
economical support may only be given to those who have registered.  
This meeting was jointly developed by four South American countries,  
Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina, we suggest that participants  
from these countries to contact the local organizers for financial  
aid. The local organization in La Plata is trying to get reduced rates  
at hotels in the city. Please remember that the amount of places  
available in the hotels of the city is limited and scarce, it is  
suggested to make reservations in advance.


Attending the Workshop:
To attend the Workshop, you must fill the Registration Form.. Here you  
will have two options:
(a) Invited Speakers: All Invited Speakers have a free of charge  
registration,.

(b) Regular participants: The regular registration is for all people  
that are not Invited speakers, and has a cost of $ 200 (Argentinean  
pesos, aprox. less than U$S 20). The payment can be done at the  
Conference Desk.
Abstracts and/or presentations (for Invited Speakers only):
In order to print the Book of Abstracts, we are asking all Invited  
Speakers to send us a file with the abstract of the talk. We also  
invite to all the speakers to send us additional information (figures,  
tables, additional information, related papers or your presentation).  
These material  will be include in an electronic conference book which  
will be distributed among the participants.
Submissions  deadline will be October 1, 2015
